Dr. Kalam Azad is an independent researcher currently based in Sydney, Australia. Earlier, he worked as Lecturer at Queens Academic Group, Auckland, New Zealand, and as Editorial Assistant for the New Zealand Journal of Applied Business Research, Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT), Auckland, New Zealand. He has done his PhD form Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Back in Bangladesh, he used to be a Sub-Editor of The Daily Star for quite a long time before he moved to New Zealand.
His PhD thesis dealt with the impact of economic development on democratisation. His areas of research interest include threats to human rights; democratisation; comparative politics; threats to international community — terrorism, nuclear war, economic recession; social and political engineering, innovations and ideas; and relationship between education and employment.
