Dhaka, Jan 14 (bdnews24.com) — With some sunshine, the persisting cold wave has started easing after leaving normal life in the country's northern region at disarray for the last few days.
Meteorological Department said the intensity of the biting cold was decreasing as the temperature started rising from Friday.
"The normal temperature will be back within a couple of days," meteorologist Abdur Rahman told bdnews24.com.
He said the shivering cold was still felt due to northern wind and dense fog though the temperature is rising. "Mild cold wave may exist in the northern part of the country," he added.
On Friday, the country's lowest temperature of 6.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sylhet while 10 degrees Celsius in Dhaka.
The country's lowest-ever temperature as 4.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jessore on Wednesday morning.
