When Charles Taylor was being handed down the verdict on 11 counts of war crimes and crime against humanity, Taylor’s defence attorney charged the prosecutors and the judges of the Special Court for Sierra Leon as saying:

Of punishment and clemency

Yet another death row inmate, AHM Biplob, has been granted clemency by the president. This is not the first time though. In 2010, 20 death row inmates convicted in the controversial Gama killing case were pardoned by the president.
