Jyoti Omi Chowdhury (Harvard University) is a war theorist and a visiting researcher at the Center for Sustainable Development. He has also been an International research fellow at WSU. His research focuses on war prediction and risk assessment. When he is not working on building predictive simulators and statistical models on war, he writes on development, liberalism and political theory. He is also a freelance photographer who has had three solo shows in Boston, Berlin and Ann Arbor, respectively. His work has been featured in Vogue Italia, LAT and Blur magazine.
Jyoti is currently writing a book with Dr. Sapir Handelman of Harvard University on the role of Public Diplomacy; working with Dr. Joanne Jordan of Manchester University on climate adaptation risk issues while gearing up for an art installment at the Smithsonian titled “Dreams of the Diaspora”. He currently lives in Washington, D.C.
